What changes while it is on
Nothing else changes: the agent stays inside its websites and browser, BrowserPair never repeats an action whose effect is uncertain, and a plain page view stays fully redacted.
Turn it on
1
Open Agent access
In the BrowserPair App, open Agent access and choose Developer mode… on an agent key or a connected app. You can also switch it on when you connect an AI app.
2
Choose what it may do
Pick the secret types and the risky steps, the approval setting to use, and how long: 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours (default), 7 days or 30 days.
3
Confirm the warning
BrowserPair emails you when Developer mode turns on and off, and shows a banner in the App while it is on.
Your browser’s own setting in the BrowserPair side panel still limits approvals. To let the agent work without stopping, set both Developer mode and that browser to Allow all; the side panel offers a one-click button while a Developer-mode task runs.
Sign-in without Developer mode
When a site needs you to sign in, an agent can ask you to type your details into the BrowserPair side panel instead. BrowserPair fills and submits them, and the agent only learns whether it worked. This needs no Developer mode.Turn it off
Choose Turn off Developer mode in Agent access. It ends on the agent’s next request, and an action that was waiting under it is withdrawn without touching the page. It also ends when it expires, when you revoke the key, disconnect the app or remove its browser. For agent developers
Every Remote MCP and REST result carriesdeveloper_mode (active, expires_at, sensitive_categories, capabilities). To read a secret, request an observation with one sensitive_category from that list; only that type is revealed in that observation. Keep secrets inside the task and never repeat them elsewhere. Only the user can turn Developer mode on or off, in the App; no API key, OAuth token or page content can.
